PIMA Bajaur Medical relief   29/01/2009
Taking into consideration the prevailing situations in tribal areas of Pakistan and Bajaur agency, PIMA decided to establish its Medical Relief Camps in the areas where the effected have taken refuge. The Major areas being covered so far are Dir, Temergarah, Daragai, Sakhakot, Mardan and Nowshehra etc. where more than 500 thousand people (out of a total population of 900 thousand) are living in miserable conditions in various camps established by local elders and welfare organizations. PIMA as usual is the first medical relief body to establish medical camps for the refugees. Our medical teams have provided relief to thousands of needy and destitute so for. A comprehensive plane was chalked out by the central president PIMA, who visited the areas along with selected representatives of the organization. PIMA will continue to take care of major medical needs of these people. So for we have not encountered any other organization, national or international, providing medical relief to these refugees although there is a dire need to provide effective and comprehensive medical support to these people struggling to survive under harsh and unfavorable circumstances in the camps where hygienic conditions are very primitive and a threat of bad epidemics is impending.
