Istaqbal e Ramzan programs held throughout the country

Islamabad, 8 June 2016: PIMA regularly arranges “Istaqbal e Ramzan” program on each units concerning the ramzan blessings, importance and to address the medical related issues during fasting. Recently, these programs were held at Faisalabad, Sialkot, Mirpur, Karachi, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Noushehro Feroz and other cities.

Renowned Islamic scholars and health experts addressed and highlighted the importance, benefits and blessings of the holy month and also shared the guidelines for patient care in Ramzan.

Hundreds of doctors attended these programs with keen interest. At Sialkot, 40 doctors attended the istaqbal e ramzan program where Prof Dr Aleem delivered Dars-e-Quraan on Fazeelat-e-Ramzan in a heart touching way. At Faisalabad, ‘Istaqbal-e-Ramadan and Khidmat-e-Khalq’ programme on 5 May 2016. Dars-e-Quran was delivered by Muhammad bin Ashraf on ‘Ramzan and Infaq fi sabilillah’. Prof. Hafiz Ijaz Ahmad delivered a talk on ‘Ramzan and Diabetes’. Prof. Muhammad Afzal Mian presented brief report of ‘PIMA Relief’ activities. Over one hundred doctors, lady doctors and philanthropists participated. PIMA Kohat has a regular activity to distribute ramzan books packets to all doctors. This year more than 200 books packets were provided to the doctors of the town.

PIMA Karachi arranged a seminar on “Our Diet: Sunnah and Science” in JPMC on 22 May 2014. The seminar was PMDC accredited, attended by more than 300 doctors and medical students. Dr Fasahatullah Hussaini, consultant Pediatrician told the audience about the dietary habits of Prophet S.A.W and recommendations for us. Dr Ayesha Abbas, Dietitian briefed about the scientific approach to a balance diet. A panel comprised on Dr Gaffar Billoo, Prof of Pediatric, Dr Musavir Ansarie, Consultant Pulmonologist and Prof Qaiser Jamal Consultant Physician discussed on “how to manage diet in various situations especially in Ramadan”. Prof Gaffar Bolloo also addressed on Healthy mother, healthy child.
