PREAMBLE

We are thankful to Allah Ta'ala Who is His Infinite Grace has blessed us with a deep understanding of the ultimate reality. We believe that:

It is He Who created and owns the Universe and sent man on this earth and His vicegerent. He sent, from time to time, His messengers to provide guidance and leadershipn to mankind in the art of living.

The way of life that the Creator sent for mankind was completed and finalized at the hands of the Last of the Prophets, Hadrat Muhammad Sal Allaho Alaihi Wasallam. The complete code of life was outlined in the last of the revealed books, The Qur'an. Prophet Muhammad established a perfect example in accordance with that code. Both the Book and the Perfect Example serve as sources of guidance for humanity and for all times to come.

Our salvation lies in shaping life according to the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Our well-being demands that we devote every iota of our energy towards establishing Islam as a way of life.

The individual efforts towards this end need to be organized and focused and developed into a movement.

It is also the need of the hour that these efforts are geared and cohered in many different professional circles. These professional circles will serve as catalysts of change in society and can pave the way to a full-fledged Islamic revolution.

Hence, we the doctors who aspire to establish Allah's rule on earth, join hands to form Pakistan Islamic Medical Association and pray to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala that He help us shape our individual lives according to the Qur'an and Sunnah and devote all our capabilities towards bringing about a universal Islamic revolution, give us success, accept our sacrifices and forgive us our lapses. Amen.
