CIMCO was established in April 2000 by the decision of FIMA 17th council meeting in Islamabad.
3 colleges of medicine formed this consortium. Currently our members are:

  • The College of the Medical Science, University of Science and Technology, Yemen.
  • Islamic International Medical College/Riphah International University Islamabad, Pakistan.
  • YARSI/Foki Group of Medical Schools, Indonesia.
  • Cyberjaya University of Medical Sciences, Malaysia
  • Faculty of Medicine University of Khartoum
  • Peshawar Medical College, Pakistan
  • Academy of Medical Sciences and Technologies, Khartoum, Sudan

CIMCO aiming to foster current medical education amongst members and possibly to develop unified pedagogical stretagies incorporating ethical values in the curricula of medical sciences at under and postgraduate level.

  • Collaboration in research, students and faculty exchange program aiming to enhance quality and standard of medical education.
  • Cutting cost of medical services and medical education through collaboration at different level.
  • Developing unified examination/evaluation systems at under and postgraduate levels meeting the international standard.
  • Using the facilities of the member institutions through mutual cooperation and collaboration.
  • Exchange of experiences in different fields of medicine including education.
  • Development of common mission and visions.
  • Exchange of material and contents.
  • Develop a multi-centric research centre.
